Bonfire and Fireworks Tour:
We celebrate the New Year by attending a bonfire in Reykjavík. Here tourists can share the festival atmosphere with the locals, a splendid sight not to be missed.
First we will attend the bonfire in town, watch how Icelanders celebrate the coming of the new year by burning their old stuff away. Their will light a big fire, sing songs and feel the warmth from the fire coming to all of us.
Right before midnight, we will go to a good viewpoint in order to watch Icelanders shooting up tons of fireworks in the city when the clock strikes 00:00. Iceland is one of the only countries where every household is allowed to buy and burn fireworks. Here you can enjoy a unique and spectacular sight when the whole city is lit up with beautiful fireworks. We will toast a glass of sparkling wine at midnight as well.
